November 2008 show & Deadmoo5e walking…

It worries me a lot when people like Deadmau get high ranking within certain Top 100 DJ polls. I know the poll is public voting and in no way representetive of the staff who run them, but Deadmau is the one who was quoted as saying that the time of the DJ was coming to an end. Yet is then happy to charge twenty pounds a ticket for people to go and see him play.

If he really thinks that DJ’ing is over then why is he out there on the circuit making cash from it. There are many DJ’s out there who love the job and would kill for prime slots at places like Matter, yet will never get the chance. It is my feeling that if you are a producer or Dj and have no respect for your audience then you should give it up and move on.

People who pay to go out clubbing want to see DJ’s play live and not get spoken down to or taken for a ride. This is just my feeling and obviously other people may feel different to me, but that is the good thing about the internet, we can air our views and respond to criticism alomost instantly.

Digression Sessions: 1 year anniversary show!

Digression Sessions will be celebrating its 1 year anniversary by delivering you a four and a half hour show partly recorded from Club Therapy: Digression Sessions Special club event. The event was held two weeks ago in northern Finland, Oulu and the entire evening was hosted by the Digression Session DJ’s: Jimmy H., Timo Juuti and Andy Piney. The sets were recorded and two of them will be aired on DS 1 year anniversary show. Unfortunately, due to technical glitch Jimmys set cannot be aired so instead he will be re-playing it live on air. The staff will spend the entire four and a half hours with you, chatting both on air and on web.

djmag summer part 3

Today’s showtime again! Going to be a bit special because both Timo and James are away today. Replacing me (Andy Piney) and jamaica beats DJs Mofayah Sounds (dj nick clan mojah & jr kriss). Starting either in 2 or 3 hours, we’re one hour earlier in the schedule than we should but if it gets corrected we’re going to start 16gmt (in 3 hours).

Summer 2008 shows and some changes

Ok, quite a lot of things happening at the moment! Read on…!

First of all, this blog site got finally up, stay tuned All the basic information and a bit more can be found on the pages behind the links on the right side. In news feed we’ll announce everything you need to know what’s happening with the show, tracklistings, guest djs, contests, etc.

Also, show airs now on Sense.fm Progressive Channel and it’s shrinked to 3 hours, starting now 17GMT. We believe that less is more!

We’re going to have a special summer! Four months, starting now in May, instead of guest DJs we will play winners of djmag.com forum mix contest. Thanks for all participants, all of the entries were very nice quality and we got more than enough of them! Had hard time picking only 4 of them. This month’s winner mix is nice house set from Euan A. Tune in!
